Craggy Garden Water Fountains Out of Order Until Spring 2023

The Park Service reports that the water fountains out front of the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center on the BRP will be off until Spring 2023 due to a water line repair. Water and other hydration options will be available for purchase inside the center during operating hours. The store will accept credit cards and cash, but not Apple Pay. Additionally, the only water available in Mt. Mitchell State Park is at the Ranger Station. Water is not available at the summit as the concession stand undergoes major repair and addition.
