AT Series: Hot Springs 32

A short 32 mile loop with 2500' of ascent starting in Hot Springs. We'll start with the Tanyard Gap climb when the day is cooler and the traffic sparser. With that out of the way we'll enjoy the beautiful new pavement on NC 208 to the Tennessee border and down the Asheville Highway towards Greenville TN. The route then hops over a ridge into the Paint Creek recreation area for an unbelievably scenic gradual descent along the creek. The way back to Hot Springs includes 3.5 miles of flat gravel on the banks the French Broad which can be picked through on road tires.
