About this event

The forecast for Sunday is mostly cloudy and cool (high 68) - no rain. A good day to do some climbing. And Charley's Creek should be beautiful this time of year!

RwGPS Route: Brevard Charley's Creek 76

We'll start at Silvermont Mansion in Brevard and head to Rosman then up Hwy. 215 to Charley's Creek and back by way of Silversteen. A challenging 76-mile ride with lots of climbing. There is a total of 6,659' of climbing. The most challenging section is a 7/10 of a mile climb that averages 10% and has a maximum grade approaching 16%.

Rest stops at convenience stores - mile 23 (Balsam Grove - also good return point for a shorter, flatter ride) and mile 60 (Quebec). Optional stop at mile 65 (just past Rosman).

Jens will lead a group at Pace Level 1-2. I'm hoping to ride at a Pace Level 3 - 14 mph avg with all this climbing. And I will be slower on the climbs, faster on the descents.
