About this event

The forecast says it will be 50º and sunny at noon on Tuesday - and warm up to 56º!  Let's go ride Pinnacle Mtn!

We'll leave from Trailside Brewing and ride through the apple orchards to Dana, then head to Tuxedo and up Cabin Creek Rd to Pinnacle Mtn., finally, pass through Flat Rock before returning to Trailside.  Tuxedo Park will be our mid-point rest stop, mile 21.

I'm targeting a 14 mph avg pace (slower climbing, faster descending).  We'll regroup at the
halfway point and as needed.  Always ensure you have the route, can ride a Level 4 pace, and are fully self-sufficient to complete the ride on your own and have the ride leader's cell number if dropped.

Registration is optional - so others can see who is riding.

PARKING CONSIDERATIONS:  Park away from the entrance.

HYDRATION, NOURISHMENT AND AVAILABILITY OF RESTROOMS:  Restrooms at Ecusta Cafe.

EQUIPMENT: Helmets and water bottles are mandatory. Have the route on your bike computer or phone. Front facing headlights and rear blinking lights are highly recommended for this ride.  You should be fully self-sufficient for repair of flat tires or small mechanical issues.

WEATHER: Please remember if the weather looks "iffy" or gets bad before the start date and time, then the ride leaders may not be there and you will be riding on your own. We will try to send out an email if that happens, but Western NC (and SC) is a very large area and some places could be sunshine and other places bad weather.
