This is a ReGroup ride. Be prepared to be self-sufficient.We do regroup at various points waiting 5-10 minutes. If the group decides to leave and you have not caught up, you may be on your own.We try not to leave anyone alone unless they decide to ride solo. We check to determine your location and whether you will rejoin the group.Have the route available through your choice of navigation options. PARKINGCONSIDERATIONS: Please be courteous of park attendees. We park in the first two parking sections near the rest rooms. Use the back parking spaces.
HYDRATION, NOURISHMENT AND AVAILABILITY OF RESTROOMS:Bring needed water and snacks. We will stop midway to regroup and refuel.
Refreshments and restrooms available atthe park. There is a store stop near mile 30.
EQUIPMENT:Helmets and water bottles are mandatory. Front facing headlights and rear blinking lights are highly recommended and required on the Blue Ridge Parkway unless appropriate reflectors are attached. Your bike must be equipped with the necessary lights or reflectors in accordance with applicable North Carolina and federal law and statutes governing bicycles. You should be fully self-sufficient for repair of flat tires or small mechanical issues.
