About this event

Lead by a Weaverville climbing snail, the pace is meant to be able to be done by almost anyone.  There will be an option to drop the last climb up Ivy Hill, by continuing along Old Marshall Hwy back to the start.  That will change the ride from 100'/mile to 80'/mile.

This will be a NO DROP ride.  Do not fear being left behind; your ride leader will in all likelihood be the last at the top of each climb.

PLEASE REGISTER BELOW.  This makes it easier for the ridfe leader to manage the ride.

I encourage other faster/stronger climbers to post a faster pace "piggy back" to this ride.

PARKING CONSIDERATIONS: There should be plenty of parking on both sides of Old Marshall Hwy.  This ride may be canceled if river cleanup crews are still active there.

RESTROOMS are NOT available at the start.

HYDRATION, NOURISHMENT and EQUIPMENT: Helmets and water bottles are mandatory. Have the route on your bike computer, phone, or printed cue sheet. Front-facing headlights and rear blinking lights are highly recommended for this ride and required on the Blue Ridge Parkway unless appropriate reflectors are attached. Your bike must be equipped with the necessary lights or reflectors in accordance with applicable North Carolina and federal law and statutes governing bicycles. You should be fully self sufficient for repair of flat tires or small mechanical issues.
