Ride of Silence - Hendersonville

About this event

Ride of Silence
Gather at 6:30pm at 201 S. South Main Street, Hendersonville. Ride at 7pm.

The ride will be 3.3 miles around downtown Hendersonville. Ride GPS route and cue sheets will be available, including for latecomers, to join the group once the ride has started. (Route map coming soon).

This international event promotes sharing the road with cyclists and honors those injured or killed in road collisions. Participants are asked to wear white, follow all road rules, and ride silently. A brief meeting to explain the event’s significance and honor loved ones will be held at 6:30 PM before the ride.

In 2003, Chris Phelan organized the first Ride of Silence in Dallas after endurance cyclist Larry Schwartz was hit by the mirror of a passing bus and was killed.
