About this event
A beautiful route that climbs out of Marshall on Skyway Drive then climbs up Walnut Creek. Descend to scenic Big Laurel Creek and head upstream for 13.5 miles. A right turn takes you over Old Murray with a 1/4 mile section of packed dirt road. Descending California Creek then climb to Mars Hill. A tour of Ivy River tributaries is takes you to the Flat Creek watershed with gradual descent to the French Broad River. The final miles provide a fast stretch downstream to Marshall. This route used by NC Cycle Mountain weekend 2022. 62.7 miles and 4,823 ft of climbing.
