Club Rides

The Blue Ridge Parkway is now open at the Devil's Courthouse tunnel. The Cold Mountain Loop rides that used this section of the Parkway are now tagged as OK to ride.

Are we certain about that section re-opening? The National Park Service web site still shows that as sill closed and I have not seen any news reports about it reopening there. We are talking about the section from 215 over to Black Balsam Road correct?

My mistake. I jumped the gun. The Blue Ridge Parkway is NOT officially open at Devil’s Courthouse. I sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused anyone.

You didn't jump the gun by much! I saw someone on Strava do a ride along this section a day or two before you posted.

Today, the Blue Ridge Parkway Official Facebook Page posted that as of August 29th, the Blue Ridge Parkway opened from Milepost 420.2 to Milepost 423.2. This means that there is now uninterrupted access from Milepost 382 in Asheville all the way to the Terminus of the Parkway at Milepost 469 in Cherokee. Devils Courthouse trail is open now as well!
