26.6 miles, 2596 feet elevation<br /><br />This will be a no drop ride (as much as possible) at an overall average speed of 12-15 mph, going slower on climbs, faster on flats or downhills. Scenery is beautiful, especially west of the French Broad River. <br /><br />There are significant hills, with the ride averaging 100 ft of climbing per mile; even omitting Ivy Hill, the first 21 miles average 100 ft per mile. A bailout is available at mile 20.8, omitting Ivy Hill and continuing along the scenic French Broad River.<br /><br />There are some challenging climbs, but there&#39;s also a 3 mile descent.
